These are labels I designed for Ladle of Love for their soup jars. They’re printed on Phototex and die-cut into a heart shape. The label isn’t in use by the brand anymore due to their shift from retail to catering, but I used to enjoy spotting it in boutique shops around NYC when it was still in use.
After many years of using the same format, our client wanted to update the design of their sportfishing schedule. We toyed with an Instagram inspired photo collage, but polaroids just felt less contrived somehow. The brochure is designed to fit 4 x 9 in a rack card holder when folded, or pinned to a corkboard flat with either side facing out.
This is a label for a jar that I designed for Cape Cod 1830 Sea Salt. I’ve been told by the owner that this design increased sales of the salt by 100%!
Land Ho! is a casual bar and restaurant that caters to the local nightlife on Cape Cod. I had only a few hours to put this together, so I sourced the background texture from a stock catalog, and hand drew the beer in Comic Studio to give the flyer a unique look. It fit right in with the Land Ho logo and interior aesthetic, which features many hand-painted signs from local businesses.
This is a mock-up of a display box for Primabee, a CBD company. Due to having a small budget for the project (rather than the $500-$1000 minimum that is typical for packaging that is custom in size) we adapted a Uline box that comes in a standard size for make it work for this concept. To get access to their dielines for design of the concept, I took their assembly PDF and broke its encryption with PDF unlock. Finished box result in the next image.
Primabee had need of a custom box for the 2021 PGA Conference on a tight deadline. Custom packaging is very expensive to produce in small quantities, so we strategized a solution that would work. The box is a cardboard Uline display wrapped in silk coated text with adhesive strips to secure it in place. The wrap pieces were hand cut. To create the pieces to the right size and proportions, every side of the box had to be disassembled and scanned at size to create a “die line” so the text and prints would be the correct proportions. It was a challenge, but I’m very proud of the result, and the customer loved it.
This is a wedding invitation I designed that was printed on matte cardstock, with silk lamination, and copper metallic foil. The leaves were drafted in Illustrator based on a pattern in a Japanese artbook, and the tree came from a photo I traced. This was made entirely in Illustrator. A video of what the printed invite looks like can be found here.
